Privacy policy for the Word Unscrambler Chrome Extension by WordUnscrambler.in
The Word Unscrambler Chrome Extension ("the Extension") is a free browser tool that helps you unscramble letters into possible words using WordUnscrambler.in.
We built this extension with one principle in mind: it should do exactly what it says, and nothing else. This page explains exactly what information the Extension does — and does not — interact with.
When you type letters into the Extension's popup and click
Unscramble, it opens a new browser tab to
wordunscrambler.in/unscramble/<your letters> so you can
view the results on our website.
That's the entire function of the Extension.
The Extension requests one browser permission:
tabs — used solely to open the
WordUnscrambler.in results page in a new tab when you click
"Unscramble." The Extension does not read, modify, or store
information about any of your open tabs.
Once a new tab opens to WordUnscrambler.in, standard website usage applies — the same as if you visited the site directly in your browser. Any letters you typed are included in the page URL so the website can display matching word results. WordUnscrambler.in may use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand site traffic, in line with general web practices.
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It is a simple utility tool with no data collection of any kind.
If this policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
