The Word Unscrambler Chrome Extension lets you instantly unscramble letters into possible words, powered by WordUnscrambler.in. It's free, requires no sign-up, and collects no personal data.

How to use it

  1. Click the W icon in your Chrome toolbar
  2. Type your scrambled letters (e.g. lpape)
  3. Optionally enable "Starts with," "Ends with," or "Word length" filters
  4. Click Unscramble or press Enter
  5. Results open in a new tab on WordUnscrambler.in

Frequently Asked Questions

?The extension icon isn't showing in my toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon (Extensions) in Chrome's toolbar, find "Word Unscrambler," and click the pin icon to keep it visible.
?Nothing happens when I click "Unscramble"
Make sure you've typed at least one letter (a–z) in the input box. The extension opens results in a new tab — check if a new tab opened behind your current window.
?Does this extension track or store my data?
No. The extension collects zero data — no browsing history, no personal information, no analytics. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
?Why does the extension need the "tabs" permission?
It's used only to open the WordUnscrambler.in results page in a new tab when you click "Unscramble." The extension cannot read or modify any of your existing tabs.
?Can I use letters with numbers or symbols?
The extension only accepts letters A–Z. Numbers, spaces, and symbols are automatically removed before searching.
